Prof Richard Martin

Education Lead
Rich has been involved in education for over thirty years. He started his higher educational studies in Anthropology at the University of Durham, before going onto the University of Bath to expand his studies. For many years he lectured in various Universities in Europe and North America. He now lectures and advises many organisations on ways to better deliver educational enrichment.
He has lived and worked all over the world.
He holds and has held many advisory positions in Government, NGO's and leading the Learning Skills Council - Social Inclusion Unit, including auditing Quality of provision of service.
His hobbies include playing folk blues music and literature.

Dr Jav S Pourtival

Strategic Lead
Jav has always been passionate about education, and in particular social, ethical and equal opportunities. He has a passion for Constitutional & Human Rights and read law and diplomacy at LSE & UN mandated, University of Peace in Costa Rica where he completed his studies through to his PhD. He lectures internationally. He holds and has held various senior positions including Diplomatic SMSC lead to UNICEF, Principal Panel Adviser for Faith and Belief Education to the NUS, Diplomatic panel adviser to the UK Home Office (Communities Engagement Committee). Contributor to BBC 'Thought for the Day' Equality Panel Adviser to ITV.
In his spare time, he enjoys fencing, travelling and running retreats.

Dr Daniel Wood

Equality & Diversity Lead
Dan is currently a senior consultant to educational and public bodies regarding the implementation and compliance of the Equality Act 2010.
He read law at the University of Bristol, before going onto do his Masters and Phd at the London School of Economics in social sciences.
He is constantly asked to lecture at universities around Europe and Asia.
He has advised the UK Government, HE/FE Education organisations on the impact of discrimination in regards to Equality laws.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, cooking and playing cricket.
